Steve Jobs - Back In Business?
As the potential launch of the iPhone 3.0 creeps closer with each day break it appears that it isn’t just us at home that are getting excited - it seems that Steve Jobs is also pretty eager about the new member of the iPhone family and is thinking about coming back to Apple.
Steve Jobs has been on sick leave since January when his health issues became more complex than had originally been assumed. However, it is being rumoured that he will take a week off from his sick leave to be present at the launch of the new iPhone.
Jobs had been suffering from what he had been calling a hormone imbalance which had made him shed large amounts of weight, although many had assumed the worst since Jobs had been through treatment for pancreatic cancer in 2004.
Apple have claimed that Jobs will return to power towards the end of June, however the word on the web is that he will make an appearance at the Worldwide Developers Conference this week ahead of his scheduled return.
What are we going to see…
So what are we expecting to hear from Jobs, if he does indeed make an appearance at the Worldwide Developers Conference? There have been tons of rumours floating around the globe about the third installation in the iPhone family…here are the main ones that are really exciting us at the moment;
Camera - We should at least be seeing a boost from the lame 2MP camera to a slightly better and stronger 3.2MP camera. It’s nothing compared to the 8MP cameras on Smartphones in the market right now but at least it’s a step in the right direction.
Video Recording - At long last we’ll be able to record video! It makes sense that in this YouTube world we are now immersed in that we should be able to make additions right from our iPhone and now we should be able to! (and edit too…)
32GB - More space! That’s what we need…8GB is a thing of the past as we are begging to put more and more on our iPhones…you should be able to fill your phone with music and movies like never before with this boost in space!
Battery - The rumours are telling us that the battery is going to get a boost in performance which is obviously a much needed improvement. However any hopes of being able to take the battery out of the device are absolutely tiny so once the battery’s had it then that’s it, but we could be expecting a percentage indicator which is a nice little addition!
RAM - You should never say no to a boost in performance and thankfully Apple aren’t going to be holding back with their new iPhone which is expected to sport more RAM and a stronger processor than ever before…can’t wait!
