Apps to keep the Nokia N95 happy in the fight…
With all the recent fuss surrounding the iPhone and the Blackberry, our poor old friend the Nokia N95 is getting slightly forgotten about – the Nokia N95 seems to be the Smartphone of choice for everyone who has a strong dislike for the iPhone and its touch screen temptations…
So the iPhone has the AppStore one its side and so far the AppStore has been one of the major selling points for the iPhone – but don’t worry Nokia fans because there are apps available for your little toys too!
Here are what are often considered the five best apps for the Nokia N95…
• Twibble – Twibble allows you to upload as many tweets as you want from your Nokia without having to sit down at a computer and go through all the hassle. Get tweeting while you’re on the move and let the world know exactly what you’re up to as you’re doing it. This app is vital for the mini-blogger inside all of us!
• Location Tagger – Have you ever taken a photo on your Nokia and just thought, “hey, I wish I could GPS tag this photo”…well now you can. By GPS tagging your photos you will always know exactly where they were taken. Then you can share them with the world and soon enough the whole world will know too!
• YouTube – We all know what YouTube is, if you don’t know what YouTube is then you have been living under a brick in North Wales for the last few years and have been skipping out on civilisation! This app lets you surf through the videos on YouTube while on the move to provide you with as much freedom as possible! This app works and does exactly what it says on the tin…if you love YouTube you’re going to love this app…
• JoikuSpot – Imagine being able to turn your mobile phone into a 3G Internet connection for your computer? Well, good news…now you can with JoikuSpot. Connect your phone and away you go…your own personal Wi-Fi hotspot. You aren’t going to get the experiences of home broadband but if you need to check your emails then this is exactly what you have been looking for.
• Google Maps – If there’s anything you need to do then Google Maps can do it for you pretty much…OK it won’t make you a bacon butty and it won’t scramble your eggs but if you need to find a restaurant to make you a bacon butty with scrambled eggs then Google Maps is for you…The app for the Nokia now matches the iPhone in terms of functionality so you won’t feel that you’ve been ripped off any more! You are even given the experience of flying pins – does life get any better?
