As the wireless revolution continues to grab hold of more and more areas of our everyday lives, many people are starting to wonder whether it is all becoming a little too much. Do we really need to be working on the move all day every day? Do we really need as many wireless systems in our homes?
The vast majority of people in employment will now go from their home, where they are likely to have some kind of wireless router, to their offices where there is also likely to be a wireless system. Wireless systems are everywhere and as technology moves further forward this mass of wireless systems around us will only grow.
While some people may complain about the onset of technology, wireless systems have been a godsend for the world of business. Gone are the days when you are literally tied down to your desk for the full working day, you are now free to move in and around the office and a mobile wireless link back to the office is only a phone call away. Visiting clients has never been easier, log on, login and you could well be back in the office – with all of the information you will ever need at your finger tips.
Wireless network technology has been around for a number of years but it is only with the onset of the internet that we have seen massive growth in products such as wireless routers and the like. More and more homes have more than one internet enabled computer and more than enough wires already dotted around the house. Wireless networks really do take away the strain of connecting, disconnecting, moving, connecting, etc, etc.
For those who complain about the wireless revolution, could you imagine going back to the old style fixed line telephones or binning that laptop for another desktop?
