Review based on a production Canon A570 IS
Over years, the Canon’s sequence of compact budget priced cameras has grown into the considerable line-up of nine models, developing all the way from the simple entry-level ‘point ‘n’ shoot’ models into the fully featured models for a photographer wishing the decent photographic control level at the affordable price. In the February, the Canon has announced the other addition to that range in shape of Powershot A570 and A560 IS – the twin replacements for A540. The cameras are identical almost, with that A570 optical image sporting stabilization as the extra (A570 is the lowest priced camera of series A with this feature).
Features:
The camera has 7.1 Megapixels and has an optical zoom of 4x with optical Image Stabilizer. It has a complete photographic control with M, Tv, Av and P modes. The other features include
· AiAF, Face Detection, DIGIC III
· Safety zoom and Digital Tele-Converter
· LCD of size 2.5” with real image optical and wide viewing angle
· 19 modes for shooting
Sensors:
• CCD of 1/2.5″ Type
• Effective pixels in 7.1 millions
Various sizes of images can be taken. The sizes include the Postcard date Imprint (1600 x 1200), 16:9 (3072 x 1728, 640 x 480, 1600 x 1200, 2048 x 1536, 2592 x 1944 and 3072 x 2304.
The movie clips can be shot in sizes of 160 x 120 at 15 fps, 320 x 240 at 15/ 30/ 60 fps and 640 x 480 at 15 / 30 / 60 fps.
